Be sure to treat the fair as an interview. This will be the first impression employers have of you, so it is important to dress for success! This does not mean full business attire, because it is a part-time position. Here are a few pointers to consider when getting ready for the fair:
NO JEANS!: Don't wear denim when meeting employers. Choose a nice pair of structured pants that are flattering to your figure (not too tight)! Pattern and color are okay since it is a summer fair.
Be modest: Choose a blouse that covers your cleavage, and again, it not too tight. Sleeveless is acceptable for this fair, but not a tank-top. Wear a cami under chiffon verses a bandeau.
Shoes: It's safe to stick with flats; sandals are acceptable, but no flip-flops. If you would like to wear a heel or wedge, be sure to keep it below 2.5 inches.
Jewelry: As well as makeup, a little goes a long way! Studs or small hoops for earrings and dainty bracelets and rings; don't have anything too chunky.
Same first rule applies, NO JEANS! Wear khakis or slacks. Don't forget your belt!! Pair with an ironed collared shirt or button-down. If you would like to wear a tie, that would be acceptable. Dress shoes (presentable and clean!).
If you have any questions about your attire, leave us a comment! Hope to see everyone at the Part-Time Job Fair, next Thursday!!!
